Suspected anarchist nail bombers remanded in custody

AFTER several raids across in Madrid, Barcelona, Palencia and Granada on Monday police have remanded five suspected members of an organisation known as the ‘Co-ordinated Anarchists Groups’ in custody.

The five are suspected of being members or leaders of an organisation that left a nail bomb in Madrid’s cathedral and damaged more than 100 bank machines across the country.

Ten other suspects who were arrested on Monday in the raid were released, but the investigation into their involvement is ongoing.
