MARBELLA appears to be leading the Costa del Sol economy, with financial recovery in the city a reality according to local Mayor Angeles Muñoz.
Muñoz based her declaration to this effect on data from the local economic report for the second half of 2014, which revealed that new businesses and property sales were on the up while unemployment rates had fallen.
With the mayor’s declarations coming just days after American publication the Wall Street Journal compared the city to a European version of southern California, stating that the property market was recovering and international buyers beginning to show an increased interest in the area, things certainly seem to be looking good for what the WSJ described as a ritzy, sun-soaked Spanish city.
