EXPERTS have identified 265 high-risk areas for mosquitos in the Valencia region. Recent torrential rain followed by warm temperatures in the run up to Easter has turned large puddles, ditches and drains into breeding grounds for mosquito larvae. The Department of Health has ordered that municipal fumigation processes are stepped up. So far the dreaded Tiger Mosquito has not been detected in the area. Drones are now in the process of photographing large areas to locate possible outbreaks.
