AN AIR passenger’s touching note to her pilot, thanking him for taking her home, has gone viral.
The letter, written by a passenger called Bethanie, was shared on Twitter by Jai Dillon, who says he is an airline pilot based in Cheshire. The handwritten message thanks the pilot for a safe flight in the wake of the Germanwings plane crash.
The letter references the recent Germanwings tragedy in the French Alps, which claimed 150 lives, and is described by its author as an attempt to “reach out” and “extend a compassionate hand.”
The note continues: “I understand an event so horrific as this one affects those with your responsibility more than others, and maybe sometimes a kind word, random but heartfelt, can make a difference.
“Thank you for taking me home. Thank you for doing so safely.”
