FOREIGN buyers appear to be returning to the Costa Calida.
The latest property figures released, relating to purchases in the final quarter of last year, show that overall sales and purchases by foreigners are rising.
In total 11,040 purchases were made in the Murcia Region last year, 11.9 per cent more than in 2013, with the number of non-Spanish buyers rising by 11.4 per cent to 2,338. This equates to 21 per cent of all property purchases made by foreigners.
The turnover in property sales also increased in 2014. Spending on Murcian properties last year reached nearly €5 million.
In the Valencia Region, property market turnover increased by 10.3 per cent last year from the 54,059 properties sold in 2014. Of these sales, 35 per cent of them were by non-Spanish buyers. Most of those were in Alicante province with more than half of all residential property purchases on the Costa Blanca made by foreigners.
