A warm welcome back to Laurel & Hardy’s

TERRACE at Laurel and Hardy's is perfect to watch the sunset and enjoy a cocktail or two

AN established favourite in Ciudad Quesada for the last few years, Laurel and Hardy’s is now under new ownership.
Owners Martin and Julia Eastgate are brimming with passion for their new venture and are excited to be meeting existing customers and welcome new guests.
Their aim is simple; to offer an enjoyable dining experience with the best hospitality and great cuisine at affordable prices.
Taking over the Laurel and Hardy’s name from previous owners Paul and David, who are now focusing more on their other two restaurants, Martin and Julia were previously customers, so knew how hard Paul and David worked to establish the restaurant as one of the best in the area, and something the couple are ensuring      remains the same having   received much welcomed guidance and assistance from Paul and David. But they can relax knowing that the restaurant they built up is in safe hands as never before have two owners been more enthusiastic and dedicated to a project than Martin and Julia who thrive in the hospitality industry.
Retaining the highly regarded existing chefs, Benoit and Dean, Laurel and Hardy’s continues to serve the best freshly prepared dishes,     offering diners an inspired,  vibrant and regularly changing menu, all cooked freshly and from scratch, which Martin and Julia have been at the forefront of creating, designing and tasting.
It is based around traditional, much loved English cuisine but with a splash of international influences such as a rack of slow baked ribs with lemon grass and basil and Malaysian duo of beef and chicken skewers with a lime and avocado dip. There is a refreshingly vibrant and different three course menu de la noche available for just €15 which includes a choice of four starters, five mains and your choice from the mouth watering a la carte dessert menu.
The set menu will change every two weeks keeping the choice fresh and new for regular customers who will, without a doubt, be returning time and time again.
Laurel and Hardy’s are also particularly proud of their Sunday lunch menu which is already becoming very popular. For €13.50 diners enjoy three courses and a bottle of wine per couple. As well as the traditional roast, there is the option of choosing a dish from the a la carte menu for a supplement, whether that be a rib-eye steak, grilled lamb chops, king prawns, home-made lasagne or BBQ or Thai style ribs.
The restaurant itself has been given a facelift which starts the moment you enter and go up the stairs to the main restaurant and lounge, which is now open plan. The  fresh, cosy lounge area is ideal for a pre or post-meal drink and to meet with friends and a sleek and stylish dining area, offers the perfect environment to be wined and dined.
There is also an expansive terrace with views out       towards the Orihuela and Callosa mountains.
Laurel and Hardy’s Bar and Restaurant will be open Monday to Saturday from 6pm, and on Sundays from 1pm until 9pm. For table reservations call 965 077 444 or follow them on Facebook.
