La Nucia Adventure Park opens

LA NUCIA Mayor Bernabe Cano officially opened the 12,000-square-metre Adventure Park behind the Eco Recycling Park in the town on Saturday.

The inauguration earlier this month was delayed due to bad weather. This time, more than 1,000 residents attended, with hundreds of youngsters eager to try out the facilities.

The €400,000 construction was jointly funded by the council, Generalitat Valenciana regional government and the European Social Fund.

The park features four adventure circuits for all ages – one designated for younger children – incorporating rope bridges, climbing frames and six zip wires.

The local scout association were amongst the first to try out the new facilities – giving the thumbs up!

There are shady picnic areas and also some animals – chickens, goats, donkeys and even owls for the children to see.

The park is open on Fridays after 5pm and at the weekend from 10am until 8pm. During the week it will be open to schools for educational trips.
