EASTER MARKET: Artists at work.
AN Easter market is on over the Easter holidays at the Mirador above Benidorm’s Old Town until April 13 – voted one of Spain’s Top 25 tourist attractions. Head up towards the iconic blue domed church, pass under the arch and you will arrive at the Plaza de Castelar, where you can enjoy breath-taking views of the Levante and Poniente beaches.
A selection of artisan craft stalls are selling hand-made jewellery, leather goods and ceramics – but mostly you will find artists offering to paint portraits, sketches and caricatures. There are also musicians, a harpist and craft demonstrations throughout the day. It is on daily from 11am until 8pm.
