THE Estepona Orchid and Botanical Gardens open to the public tomorrow, March 28, and are expected to bring more than €2 million in income to the town per year.
Due to the spectacular look of the building and unique species it holds, the new attraction is expected to receive more than 100,000 visitors per year, boosting tourism in the area.
The centre will house one of the largest collections of orchids in Spain, and more than 200 square metres of hanging gardens on a 12 metre height wall under impressive glass domes.
The Botanical Gardens will allow visitors to discover many interesting plants, including the CanangaOdorata, better known as YlanYlan, a well-known flower used in a number of popular perfumes.
