Rincon de la Victoria confirms indoor pool and fantasy theme park projects

MORE than 100 people participated on Tuesday (March 24) in the presentation of Rincon de la Victoria’s two big, new leisure projects, an indoor pool and a theme park based on a fantasy world.

Mayor Francisco Salado explained that projects would have a combined cost of €5.5 million.

By the end of the year, locals and visitors will be able to enjoy Andalucia’s first fantasy theme park. Inspired by the universe of elves and fairy tales, it will be located in Torre de Banagalbon.

“The facilities will have a surface of eight hectares. They are expected to become one of the main tourist attractions, thanks to its landscapes and leisure services,” said the mayor.

The park will cost €1.7 million, €500,000 of which will come from Malaga Provincial Council. It will have different areas including lakes, picnic spaces and viewpoints.

The town’s first indoor pool will cost €3.8 million, and will offer services including a sports centre, spa, three rooms for indoor sports and a canteen.

The mayor stressed that the price to access the new facilities would be affordable so that all citizens could benefit from its services.

“We want all residents to use these facilities so that they do not have to go to other towns to do so,” said the mayor.
