MARBELLA beaches will have lifeguards on duty over Easter.
A combination of good weather and good tourism forecasts have led the authorities to prepare for busy beaches and organise lifeguards to be on hand.
The council has decided that after April 5, the guards will also be on duty at weekends until June, when the official summer campaign begins.
For the summer, a total of 75 lifeguards will be working at 15 posts on Marbella’s beaches, with defibrillators, four ambulances, four support vehicles and six boats to back them up.
Safety and prevention campaigns are also planned with leaflets being distributed at schools.
