British community in Calvia mourns son lost in Germanwings crash

ONE of the victims of the Germanwings plane crash in the French Alps was the son of an English resident of Santa Ponça, Calvia.

Paul Andrew Bramley, 28 years old, was the son of Carol Bramley, a well-known expat. Carol is active in the local community as a member of an association that offers help to women with breast cancer, and a cancer survivor herself.

Paul was born in Hull, and regularly visited his mother in Mallorca. He was studying hotel management in Switzerland and had spent a few days on holiday with some friends in Barcelona.

Paul’s family released the news through a statement from the Foreign Office on Wednesday (March 25).

“Paul was very kind, a loving son and full of love. He was my world,” said Carol in the statement.
