Cristiano Ronaldo (R) is congratulated by his team mate Pepe after scorting a goal against Barcelona at Camp Nou stadium in Barcelona, March 22
CRISTIANO RONALDO is currently facing investigation and potential punishment over his goal celebrations when he equalised against Barcelona in the La Liga game on Sunday.
The Real Madrid striker has built up a reputation for annoying fans of opposing teams. Sunday’s game against Barcelona wasn’t an exception, with Ronaldo ripping off his shirt after he scored and then appearing to ask the Barcelona fans calm down with hand gestures.
Spain’s professional football league (LFP) is currently investigating Ronaldo’s behaviour, with LFP president Javier Tebas saying, “It must be sanctioned, from a fine up to suspension, we will look into it.”
