A REPEAT of the highly successful 101 Sun Festival held in Malaga last year is not on the books this year due to lack of suitable venues.
Although the first edition of the festival, held at Malaga City’s athletics stadium in 2014, was a great success with 31 national and international artists, 48 hours of music, two nominations to the Fest Awards and more than 22,000 visitors, the festival cannot be held in the same place due to complaints from local residents.
The organisers have announced that although they had been negotiating with the city council to find another venue, no agreement had been reached meaning this year’s edition has had to be called off.
