PUERTO Banus has won a fight against the Junta de Andalucia regional government over fees.
The Supreme Court has agreed with the management company that runs the port and annulled a ruling by the Public Works Council which put the levy up in 2006 from €120,000 to €1.1 million.
The managing company, Puerto Banus SA, took the case to court as it considered the increase excessive and the Andalucian nautical sector, which many feel receives unfair treatment from the Junta, is celebrating the win.
