Expat group hosts talk in Palma Town Hall

THE Mallorca-based, non-political association for European expats, Europeos por España (EporE), has announced their first spring event scheduled for Thursday (March 19).

EporE has been given the special honour once again of hosting an event in the wonderful, historic Sala de Plenos in Palma Town Hall at 5.45pm. This is where the mayor and councillors meet once a month for their plenary session and where all matters of importance to the town are debated, discussed and voted on.

Round the walls are portraits of VIPs of Palma’s past. If only these walls could talk!

Well-known author and historian Andy Rawson will be giving one of his presentations on the history of the city of Palma, and will be introduced by multilingual deputy mayor, Ms Irene San Gil. Both are happy to participate in a question and answer session from those attending. The event will be in English.

Afterwards, they will be going for an aperitif and tapas in the area at 7.15pm. There is still time to RSVP to secretary@epore.org
