Elvis tribute champion helps local charity

ELVIS: tribute champ in Aguilas March 20

HELP HANDS registered charity are proud to be presenting the European Elvis Tribute Champion, Simon Patrick, with supporting DJ Steve King, at a fundraising event on March 20.

Situated on the beach with it’s own marina in Aguilas, the venue is the Hotel Puerto Juan Montiel. A choice of tickets is available, either to include the hotel’s hot and cold buffet at €24 or for the show only for just €12.

Based in Lorca and Aguilas, Helping Hands consists of a very small team of English, Spanish, Belgian and German people, working hard to make a difference to the lives of animals and people alike. As with most charities, times are hard and they are struggling, caring for over 40 abandoned and ill-treated rescue dogs. Most are housed at the homes of two Helping Hands members as the charity has no sanctuary or kennelling.

The team also work tirelessly manning their charity shop in Aguilas where donations of anything and everything are gratefully received and sold to raise funds for their work.

Veterinary treatment alone regularly amounts to around €1,000 a month in addition to emergency kennelling of €250.
