WHATSAPP has become part of daily life for many people and may become a way to quickly receive information on public city buses.
The EMT Malaga Transport Company has contracted a mobile phone line and will be trying out a new system over Easter whereby users can send instant chat messages to the company’s control centre and receive information on routes, timetables and where to find stops or report problems.
Depending on the results of the trial period, the system may become a permanent fixture and the council is also considering using it for other public services.
