TWO residents of Motril will have to pay a €125 fine each for throwing insults against the Local Police through the social media platform Facebook.
According to the sentence imposed by the Motril Court, on July 29, a picture depicting two police officers from Motril fining a car belonging to the Torrenueva Council was uploaded on Facebook.
After that, the two accused commented on the picture “pathetic, what a shame” and “Such *********, they do not have enough with Motril, they also have to be a pain in the *** in Torrenueva”.
Three others were accused of the same offence but were absolved, as it was not possible to prove that they were the authors of the offensive comments thrown at the officers.
