A 60-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested by Local Police of Rincon de la Victoria after being caught red-handed setting a rubbish bin on fire.
The man first ignited some plastic which he then threw into the bin.
The investigation began back on February 15 when concern was sparked amongst neighbours of the Cotomar residential complex as almost every day, always at the same time, a rubbish bin was set on fire.
After plain-clothes officers launched a surveillance exercise, they caught the main suspect red-handed.
He is now facing a €7,000 fine and has been charged with a crime for damages to public property.
