El Brujo … A wizard in the kitchen

IF you have a loyal customer base, visitors that return on every holiday, and also offer good food at good value for money, then you must possess the magical formula that makes a great restaurant.

El Brujo has all of that, as this family restaurant has been owned and run by Ray and Natasha Warr for 23 years.

The restaurant itself is most inviting with a separate bar and billiard area to welcome you in and enjoy pre-dinner drinks.

There are front and side terraces for those who like relaxing outdoors which has a separate, safe children’s area and wi-fi throughout. The lovely dining area situated at the back of the restaurant is surrounded by gardens, is wheelchair friendly and has w/c and baby changing facilities.

Most popular is the set threecourse menu priced at €16.00 including a half bottle of wine and as on the a la carte menu, the food is freshly made to order so anyone with special dietary needs such as gluten or dairy intolerance can be catered for. Choices on the set menu are changed with each season but always offer a wide selection of fish, meat, chicken and vegetarian dishes, with a mixture of saucy, highly flavoured and simple recipes developed over 23 years as El Brujo chefs strive to accommodate most palates

Evening cuisine is from 6.30pm with the a la carte menu including many home-made dishes as well as fine cuts of meat and fish.

Weekday lunches, a relatively new venture, have been served for a year now and are growing in popularity with shoppers, workers and customers taking advantage of the wi-fi. Lunch is served between 12.00pm and 4.00pm with an excellent two- course menu including a drink for €7.50.

Sundays are El Brujo’s most popular day and probably what they are most famed for. Open all day 1pm til 10pm and serving only the best topside of beef, carved lamb, pork, turkey and much more including steak pie, fish and Scottish scampi and sirloin steaks for €10.00.
