And the winner is…

SATURDAY saw what was already billed to be the social event of the year!

The Grand Final of Mallorca’s Got Talent, hosted by Aroma El Toro Restaurant, was held in the fantastic venue of the theatre at Western Water Park.

What a superb venue it turned out to be. With a capacity of 500, tickets were in short supply running up to the event itself. The theatre was a great choice for what promised to be an extremely tight finish, to what has already been a hotly contested competition.

The contestants battled it out, each having two slots to showcase their talents.

The judges included X Factor’s vocal coach Lloyd Wade and opera singer George Pena, giving critical comment on each stage performance. The audience also had their say as they were allotted one vote each.

Paul Martin, Aroma’s amazing resident enter-tainer hosted the show, giving a great opening performance. All contest-ants had one performance, then there was a break during which opera singer and judge George Pena, gave a memorable and emotional operatic rendition.

Time for the second slot for the contestants, the tension was palpable.

Then the final judging.

The overall and very deserved winner was Rebecca Parry, second place was young Brooke Judkins who did a wonderful performance of a song from the movie ‘Frozen,’ in third place was Rochelle Rimmer, a difficult choice but there could only be one winner.

The planned After Party then moved on to Aroma El Toro Restaurant, where the fun continued until the early hours.

Judge and X Factor vocal coach Lloyd Wade entertained the crowd, who by now were in high spirits, the dance floor was soon full and the atmosphere was buzzing. All agreed it had been a fantastic evening.

Lloyd is starting vocal coaching on the island, something many aspiring perfomers will be sure to benefit from, you can get in touch with Aroma for details.

Aroma El Toro is a great venue for all types of events or entertainment.
