Segways for coastal police patrols

THE Local Police force in Mijas will have two electric Segway vehicles to patrol the coastal path, the council has announced.

These environmentally-friendly vehicles, with a battery duration of up to 50 kilometres, will help policemen patrol the five kilometre path as they move easily on earth and grass and can go up and down steps, Local Police councillor Juan Carlos Gonzalez explained.
