Cheese festivity in Torre del Mar next weekend

TORRE DEL MAR will host next Sunday (March 8) the fourth edition of the Malaga Artisan Goat Cheese and Wine of the Axarquia.

The event, which will take place between 11am and 6pm at the Paseo de Larios, was organised by the Spanish Association of Goat Farmers (CABRAMA), together with the town’s council.

The market will count with 31 different stands, four more than in 2014.

Eight artisan cheese companies from Malaga, one from Cadiz and three from Granada, as well as four wineries will take part in the market.

Two cheese-making workshops earmarked at children will be carried out and there will be a free translation service for foreigner residents.

In addition, on Sunday 8, the second Malaga Goat-Cheese-cake contest will be celebrated. Participants will display their cakes to a panel of experts at the Paseo de Larios between 4pm and 4.30pm.
