MIJAS fire-brigade is calling on local school-children to help it come up with pictures and slogans for this year’s forest-fire prevention campaign.
Primary-school children have been asked to provide drawings of their favourite bits of Mijas countryside, while secondary students have been asked to come up with slogans.
The children’s work will be used as part of a campaign to raise awareness and prevent fires that the brigade runs on local media each year, and is hoped to bring the message closer to the hearts of the people of Mijas and help them realize that stopping fires happening is everyone’s responsibility.
