Cultural route plans to honour Blas Infante

AS Andalucia prepares to celebrate its special day this Saturday, a project to create a Blas Infante Cultural and Touristic Route has been launched.

Casares, where the man considered to be the father of Andalucian nationalism was born and worked until the age of 24, and Manilva, where he spent many a summer at his brother’s home, are to be part of the route which will include places within Andalucia considered of importance to his life and work.

Representatives from the two Costa del Sol towns and others from Archidona (Malaga), Castro del Rio (Cordoba), Isla Cristina (Huelva) and Cantillana, Coria del Rio and Peñaflor (Sevilla) forming the Blas Infante Foundation have approved a project and presented a logo for the route along with a promotional video created by a number of well-known Andalucian artists and Blas Infante’s great-granddaughter Rosa Delmas.
