A 22-YEAR-OLD motorcyclist died in Santa Maria, Mallorca, after crashing against a metal bollard.
The incident took place on Sunday (February 22) at around 8.30pm at the 1,200km point on the road that connects Santa Maria and Bunyola.
Police believe that the man had correctly passed another vehicle but, for reasons still unknown, he lost control of his scooter after overtaking and crashed against the metal bollard, dying a few minutes later.
Several ambulances attended but physicians were unable to revive him and pronounced the man dead at the scene.
The victim was a delivery worker for a popular restaurant located in Santa Maria who had just finished an order and was coming back to his workplace.
