THE Balearic Islands received 106,160 foreign tourists in January, a 20.9 per cent increase on the same month in 2014.
The data was released by Frontur, the survey of tourist traffic coming into Spain conducted by the Spanish Industry, Energy and Tourism ministry.
These positive results were due in part to German tourism, which increased by 31.2 per cent, together with Belgian and British visitor numbers, which also registered growth.
