FOLLOWING a seven-day strike, Carlos Haya hospital operating theatre nursing staff have reached an agreement with the management and returned to work.
Union and strike committee representatives signed a document put forward by the Malaga City hospital’s management accepting the nurses’ requests for sufficient staff to be put on all shifts and overtime to be paid.
The nurses and nursing assistants agreed unanimously to end their strike and declared that they were satisfied with the fact the management had accepted their conditions, but wished it had done so earlier to avoid patients being affected by cancelled operations.
