POORER families in Marratxi will benefit from an agreement signed by electricity company Endesa and the town council.
The company has committed to guaranteeing the power supply for families on low incomes.
In these cases, the company will avoid cutting off the supply as soon as they receive notice from the council, informing them that the family is benefiting from municipal aid.
In addition, energy bills generated by poorer families who are at risk of poverty will be paid by the council.
