FIREFIGHTERS in Fuengirola and Marbella were the first on the Costa del Sol to receive new, improved uniforms.
The uniforms, which are already in use, come with a new lighting system which improves visibility in dark and smoky conditions, and also gives a flashing warning signal if the firefighter stays still for a certain amount of time.
The new design has also been made with comfort in mind, with shorter length trousers and extra padding that is made of lighter material.
Waterproof outer layers have also been added for working in wet conditions, which also provide extra warmth.
