AROUND 1,600 people took part in Torrevieja’s Carnival parade at the weekend, including five groups participating from the Murcia Region.
The streets were lined with spectators as the bright and colourful costumes made their way through the streets before the prize-giving ceremony for best-dressed groups was held in the main square.
If you missed the afternoon parade, the main night parade takes place this Saturday, February 14, from 10pm, when it leaves the Plaza Maria de la Asuncion and heads down Calle Ramon Gallud and along to Calle Patricio Perez.
A Carnival parade is also planned for the Zenia Boulevard shopping centre in La Zenia on February 28. The parade will leave from Plaza Armengola at around 6.30pm.
