HOTEL guests in Malaga City for Easter this year may be in for a special treat, as hotels look set to obtain coveted procession route seats.

Every year 22,000 seats are placed along the official procession route. The few seats which become free have to be raffled before a notary due to extremely high demand.

Hotelier association leader Francisco Moro explained that hotels have been trying to obtain seats for many years as guests often ask how to go about using them.

Following an initial agreement between the association and the Brotherhood group, letters have been sent out to ask city hotels how many seats they would like and a meeting at the end of this month should determine exactly how many seats hotels will be allotted and where on the route they will be.

Although the seats sell like gold dust, hoteliers insist they will be paying the standard rates for the seats themselves to offer to their guests as a free bonus.
