APPROXIMATELY 100 young people from Carboneras primary schools, Almeria, have been learning about safety on the roads.
The course, Policarboneraseduca, was run by the Local Police under the umbrella program, Carboneras en Valores (Carboneras Values). The program, launched in 2011, has the backing of Civil Protection, Motos Nieto and PJ Bikes.
The children learned about signalling and movement, and took part in a fun ‘bike gymkhana,’ before moving on to basic bicycle maintenance, including wheel repair, chain and brake repair, cleaning and lubrication. They then took a tour of the town.
