SOLIDARITY WALK: More than 1,200 took part in the event in La Nucia.
MORE than 1,200 people took part in the Sixth Solidarity March for the Fight Against Cancer in La Nucia, Costa Blanca.
Organised by the Department of Social Welfare in collaboration with the Cancer Association of La Nucia and Anemone Association, a self-help group for women with breast cancer, the turn out of participants was better than expected and over €3,800 was raised.
The walk coincided with the World Cancer Day.
Around 100 companies from La Nucia and the Marina Baixa also donated gifts and items that could be raffled off to further raise funds.
