Short films to promote Rincon de la Victoria

TWO short film projects featuring Rincon de la Victoria and made by local directors will receive financial backing from the town council.

Head of the Tourism Department, Marta Martin, explained that the council would support the projects with €500 each, as the films would help promote tourism in the town.

The projects will be directed by Alberto Pons and Martin Crespo.

The first director has already started the production of movie called ‘Los Chimplonitos,’ a tribute to the films created during the 80s, which will use the town’s Treasure Cave as one of its settings.

Mr Crespo’s project is titled ‘Daniela’ and is based on the short story, ‘San Valentin,’ by Ernesto Martin. It will include scenes shot on the town’s beaches, the tunnels of Cala del Moral and some streets around the area of the promenade.

Ms Martin explained that both short films would participate in several national and international festivals and “take the corners of Rincon de la Victoria to many beyond our borders.”
