PROFESSIONALS working in the tourism field in Motril now have the chance to improve their English with new language courses launched by the town council.
These training courses are earmarked for commerce workers, hotel staff and taxi drivers, amongst other professionals, so that they can improve the service they provide to tourists.
“The courses have been designed to eliminate the language barriers between tourist and service provider,” said mayor of the town, Luisa Garcia Chamorro.
Two teachers with degrees in English and translation have been hired by the council and will teach in the Centro Joven, located at the bottom floor of the Tourism Office.
Each class has been tailored to the different fields the professionals work in, focusing on vocabulary that they would use in real life situations.
