Lorry load of metal bars cause chaos on Mallorca motorway

A LORRY carrying metal bars has lost its load at Palma’s Via de Cintura motorway, forcing authorities to close two lanes to traffic.

The incident took place at around 11.30 am in the area of Son Hugo sports centre and caused a two-kilometre traffic jam.

Apart from metal bars, the lorry was also carrying a large number of metal bolts which have piled up on the central and right lanes.
