ALTHOUGH the cold front that has kept most of Spain shivering for the last few days is slowly improving, 22 provinces remain under alerts for extremely cold and icy conditions.
Aemet Spanish state weather office reported this morning (February 9) that ice and snow are still expected in inland and mountainous areas, especially in northern parts of the country.
The Costa del Sol and Gibraltar Straits areas are in for some strong winds, while light rain is forecast for much of the eastern side of Spain and the Balearic Islands.
While temperatures are expected to increase during the day, cold and frost can still be expected tonight so don’t take the duvets off just yet.
