THE Mallorca Regional Government will approve a motion to help improve towns around the island, creating an aid budget of €4 million.
Head of regional government, Maria Salom explained that towns with a population below 5,000 will receive aid totalling €100,000.
The funding for those towns with a number of inhabitants between 5,000 and 10,000 will be €65,000, while those municipalities between 10,000 and 20,000 inhabitants will obtain €58,000.
Once approved, councils will have 45 days to present a project in order to benefit from the aid.
“This financial aid will allow councils to improve their infrastructure, which is expected to benefit Mallorca as a whole,” said Ms Salom.
