Help with La Nucia water bills

LA NUCIA is again subsidising water bills for the unemployed, pensioners and large families.

Grants are based on family income, with an annual maximum of €150 for households with up to €7,456 and €75 for those on €14,910. 

“This was very well-received last year and 307 La Nucia families benefitted from the subsidy,” said the town’s mayor Bernabe Cano.

All income from water bills and the town hall’s drainage tax is reinvested in La Nucia’s water supply, Cano said.  None of it is destined for other municipal expenses, he stressed.

Closing date for applications is March 6 and forms can be picked up at La Nucia’s town hall as well as the El Calvari social centre and the Bello Horizonte and Calle Barbados administrative centres.
