Suspected car thieves nabbed after chase in Motril

TWO men were caught by Motril Local Police while driving a stolen car in the area of Camino del Cerro del Toro.

The officers, who were patrolling around the area at the time, noticed a car on the verge of the road, which was then identified as a vehicle that had been stolen in Los Alamos.

While the officers were contacting the owner and describing the poor condition it was in, two men jumped into the car and drove off, forcing the police to start chasing them and call for reinforcements.

After a short chase, one of the police vehicles was hit by the car the suspects were in, and officers were finally able to catch them. Both have been taken into custody.
