THE construction work on Nerja’s new underground car park is almost completed.
Mayor of the town, Jose Alberto Armijo, visited the site to see the progress for himself, and announced a motion to call the new car park ‘Aparcamiento Municipal Burriana,’ which is expected to be approved in the next plenary session.
It will have 240 spaces on three different floors on a surface of 6,500 square metres. In addition, it will contain a tourism office.
With a budget of €2.6 million, it was funded through the National Financial Fund for the Modernisation of Tourism Infrastructure (FOMIT).
The car park is expected to be operational by the end of March or the beginning of April.
