Celebrity film promotes the Axarquia

NERJA singers Nuria Fergo and Antonio Cortes have participated in a new ad campaign to promote the tourist attractions of Axarquia at the international tourism fair FITUR.

Funded and launched by the Commonwealth of Costa del Sol-Axarquia municipalities, the campaign was conceived to advertise the region’s many features through its most popular figures.

Other famous Axarquia residents taking part in the project have been the Velez-Malaga painter Evaristo Guerra, the world triathlon champion Ruben Ruzafa, who comes from Rincon de la Victoria, Jose Carlos Garcia, holder of a Michelin star and also from Rincon, and ex-Real Madrid player, currently an assistant coach at the club, Fernando Hierro (Velez-Malaga).

In addition, the advert is narrated by Pepe Mediavilla, the actor who voices Morgan Freeman’s roles when his films are dubbed into Spanish.

Head of the Commonwealth, Oscar Medina, explained that the goal of the ad is to show the area’s qualities as a tourism destination as well as its potential, using national media, social platforms and big sports events for this purpose.
