YOUNG performers from Edinburgh will hold a concert at the Centro Cultural Villa de Nerja on February 19.

The group consists of students from Edinburgh’s Stewart’s Melville College and The Mary Erskine School, situated two kilometres apart on the north side of the Scottish capital.

In total, 50 talented artists will perform in traditional Scottish kilts and with a bagpiper and Clarsach (traditional Celtic harp), with a programme that includes both popular and traditional pieces.

Under the direction of Alan Samson, the group is currently conducting its seventh tour to Andalucia, after six very successful tours, including the band’s appearance on regional television.

“It was unusual for us to visit a country twice but seven times is unheard of. Each time we come to the Costa del Sol the welcome we receive is so outstanding that we cannot resist returning,” said Mr Samson.

Tickets for the Nerja performance will be €5. More information can be found by phoning 952 523 863.
