FIFTY Murcian companies are in Berlin, Germany, for the Fruit Logistica 2015 event.
They are joined by more than 60,000 trade visitors from 130 countries.
The Murcia delegation, consisting of around 200 entrepreneurs, is holding meetings with suppliers and distributors of major retail chains around the world.
The aim is for Murcian companies to strengthen their position in the supply and marketing of fresh produce, open their products to new markets abroad and create new market opportunities in emerging countries for regional export.
Sales in the regional horticultural sector in Europe accounts for 28 per cent of the national horticultural export. Germany is one of the main consumer markets in the production of regional fruits and vegetables.
