A MAN found hanging upside down from a two-metre fence on a Malaga City building site has been given an eight-month jail sentence for attempted theft.
Although he claimed that a group of strangers had thrown him onto the fence, where a security guard found him hanging at 5am in May last year, witnesses believed the man had got stuck trying to climb into the building site to steal.
Firefighters had to rescue the man from the fence after his cries for help alerted the guard on duty within the site.
Although he appealed the sentence for intention of theft given by a Malaga criminal court, it has now been confirmed by the Provincial Courts.
