EXPLANADA: Work, which has been ongoing for months, is due to finish this week.
WORK on Alicante’s Explanada is expected to be completed this week, after nearly two months of work.
It means restaurants and cafes can re-open and resume placing their tables and chairs on the esplanade.
New lighting is still waiting to be installed, which will take another few weeks, and work is still to be resolved in the area where the remains of the archaeological tower of the Puerta del Mar was found, as previously reported in the Euro Weekly News.
It has been decided to leave it on view and the area remains fenced whilst permits are obtained and it is decided how best to make it a feature.
