More jobs schemes announced for Valencia Region

TRAINING SCHEMES: President Fabra visited those on an employment training scheme in Torrevieja after a meeting at the CDT.

NEW employment schemes in the region have been announced by the president of the Valencian Generalitat regional government, Alberto Fabra, during his visit to Torrevieja.

The president was joined by the minister of economy, industry, tourism and employment, Maximo Buch, and president of the provincial council, Luisa Pastor, who, along with mayor of Torrevieja, Eduardo Dolon, presented the ‘Learning Working’ Employment Workshops 2015 scheme at Torrevieja’s tourism centre (CDT).

In highlighting the training schemes, Dolon also spoke about the successful workshops that have been underway in Torrevieja, including the evolution and development of the Reina de la Sal Park in Los Montesinos.

Dolon said that since 2011, more than 200 unemployed people have been training and working in the municipality under various schemes funded in part by the region, Alicante Provincial Council and the City of Torrevieja.

The president of the regional government reaffirmed the commitment to creating jobs and giving people the necessary training to help them find work and reduce unemployment.

He said: “The Generalitat works every day not only fostering a favourable environment for companies that are creating jobs, but also improving opportunities for the unemployed, who are most in need. Based on available data today we can see how our commitment to the creation of jobs is paying off.”
