Casa Fuerte Bezmiliana: features Malaga painter.
THE Casa Fuerte Bezmiliana of Rincon de la Victoria will host an exhibition of Malaga artist Jose Azaustre Muro.
According to Culture councillor, Antonio Jose Martin, the themes of this artist’s paintings depict scenes taken from the life of peasants and sailors, but also reflect religious figures as well as portraits, all created using oil painting.
Jose Azaustre Muro was born in 1929 and studied Arts at the Royal Academy Saint Telmo of Malaga. He spent seven years in Madrid studying the great classic painters at the Prado Museum. He has worked in places such as Puerto Rico, Santo Domingo, Miami and Washington. He also founded Arts Schools in Puerto Rico, where he lived for 26 years.
The exhibition can be visited between January 23 until March 6, from Tuesdays to Saturdays between 10.30am and 1pm and from 7pm to 8pm. On Sundays, it will be open between 11am and 2pm. The entrance is free.
